First of all, I am 100% with you! The atheistic perspective is absolutely vital when it comes to understanding existence for what it is. The Atheistic Movement serves to oppose the religions we’ve created, and does so out of necessity. We’ve come to understand that many lives have been affected by our fables, as we witness quarrels over flawed and false premises from both sides. We have governed with religions, and killed over them, mostly in vain. Atheistic thought is just the beginning, as many “atheists” realize.
Philosophically speaking, Atheism is the denial of someone else’s assertion, it’s a negative assertion, and we don’t mean emotionally negative. It state’s that someone else’s story is false, or fallacious; riddled with fallacy. More specifically, it denies the existence of gods. We can quibble about definitions, or we can realize religion is part of the iceberg of ignorance. It is like a foundation block of the bigger battle. The act of ignoring information put before a being, and readily accessible; ignorance. These ways of logicizing permeate all of us, as well as our individual and collective cultures. Here are your examples: religions, race, gender roles, nationalism, your persona, all culture, government and our perception of it, and so much more. Everywhere you look, people are grossly warping reality within themselves, and for you. I feel the need to assure you, IT’S OK! WE DID NOT DO THIS TO OURSELVES! We’re just perpetuating ideas and cultures that we initiated, and perpetuated, in the past.
As an extremely atheistic person myself, and as I wrote in my book, we can imagine ripping religion out of the picture, but do you know what remains? The fundamental, universal questions of existence, and 7 billion people left with an infinite number of options for thought on these matters, matters that philosophers have been grappling with for thousands of years. This is why religions were induced in the first place, to settle people down with regard to what we are doing here on this planet, and why (among other questions). I realized over 20 years ago, the people don’t need something ripped away from them without something better being presented. They have their flawed comforting religions. Atheism, as a philosophy, offers nothing to address the questions, it only denies some other humans’ answers, because they are, in fact, riddled with invalid logic. The people deserve more. They must be reminded of these fundamental, basic, universal questions of existence, and be led to the answers. You may have heard, “no one knows the answers”. Who do you think put that thought out there? That thought is one of many that keeps us in intellectual darkness. That “no one knows the answers” is simply incorrect. When people say it, they don’t even know what questions they are addressing. Again, these are the simplest questions of existence, not the most complex questions of existence. Understanding existence in its simplicity, greatly lends itself to understanding existences’ complexities. If the simplicity that exists, whether we’re aware of it or not, is misunderstood, then the complexities will, in turn, be misunderstood, hence things like racism, sexism, religions, stupid cultures (realize that there is a pure way of understanding culture within Secular Energeticism), nationalism, and so much more.
So, and you just read me mentioning it, Secular Energeticism. We simply return to, and present, the fundamental questions of existence, and answer them objectively, using much of the knowledge that the human race has discovered through years of arduous philosophic and scientific inquiry. It turns out that we are composed of the same types of energy that the rest of the Universe is composed of. We are basically atoms and sub atomic particles thinking. Ideas like these reinforce the word, Energeticism. We’re Energy aware of itself, interacting with itself, seeking to understand itself. After going public with my book about Energeticism in 2007, I quickly realized that the word “secular” had to be added to Energeticism, so as to avoid any confusion with mystical nonsense, religions, and pop “metaphysical” bullshit. Key point: who would like to continue to be lied to, or misled, about our fundamental understanding of existence? A majority of people on the planet should raise their hands as they continue to be subservient to this, and perpetuate it. Secular Energeticism is this fundamental understanding of existence, aspects of which Atheists, Secularists, and people in general are talking and bickering about all day, everyday, as the human race is waking up to new conclusions about our position here on Earth, with these 7 billion people, galactically out in the middle of nowhere. Secular Energeticism settles many of the most common arguments/debates, as likely they were settled years ago.
The people deserve a simple, catchy, and trendy layout of this information; easy to read and easy to understand. That is what Secular Energeticism is. I love Atheism, and Secular Humanism, but Atheism is not being looked at favorably for its rebellion out of necessity, and Secular Humanism is awesome, yet few people hear about it. I even say in my book, had I known about SH before writing my book, I may have done something different. When we look at the titles on the surface, SH has us identifying with being human, which is awesome! and SE has us identifying with being the same energy that everything else is composed of as energetic beings of this Universe that we know, which we are. I love being an energetic being, a human, and secular in my thoughts on the matter.
Of course, there is a lot to all of this. But guess what. It really boils down to these questions and their subsequent answers as we’ve come to discover our position. I not only give you this sense of Universal awareness, but also the ways to address it with others, and a direction to point them in!! Let’s return to the questions and try ever so hard to not deceive ourselves as we identify our individual and collective, human, Earthly position. Then there comes a considerable amount of reevaluation as you look at what the human race is doing to itself, with your refreshed perception of it all. It’s time for all of us to wake up. As Secularists and Atheists, it is our responsibility and obligation to provide alternatives, and Secular Energeticism is a full package of truisms regarding existence, and is a catalyst for major cultural change. In short, SE is awesome and mind blowing.
I’ve been doing this actively for 9 years now, usually talking to people as I go about my life, in and out of menial jobs. People have loved, and been interested in, what I’ve been talking about for almost 20 years. People are loving everything about it! The symbols, the book, the book’s title, and of course the ideas. I am a Secular Energeticist. I am an Awareness of the Universe, the Universe aware of itself. I am a Secular Humanist and Atheistic to the bone. What the human race continues to do to itself out of ignorance is absolutely tragic. They simply don’t understand themselves and their position, during a time when they have full access to do just that! Welcome to Secular Energeticism.
